The DN S1000 is a great product! I currently own one and was looking for one that was used. I was able to find a used DN S1000 at a great price and in excellent condition!!!!! It really helps that the previous owner, who is also a DJ, took very good care of it!!! The DN S1000 is easy to use and doesn’t take up a lot of space. I now have matching cd DJ players to go along with my Technics 1200’s. I’m very happy with my DN S1000!

Why do my gateway’s laptop don’t burn well cd’s and i can’t play them well?
i usually play my cd’s in my denon dj players, and they play it all wrong, as Denon Dj Cd Player if the cd was scratchedI usually play my cd’s in my denon dj players, and they play it all wrong, as if the cd was scratched, but in any other device it works perfet, but only cd’s from my laptop play wrong, I tried with my brother’s HP laptop and cd’s work well in the denon, by the way it’s a DN-S1000

  1. Fromm Says:

I am a DJ with 23 years’ experience, who worked for Denon as a “Certified Denon DJ” and beta tester (2004-’05), and for Guitar Center as a Pro Audio salesperson (2005). I can say with certainty, the best (and for me, only) CD player options available to long-time DJs who expect their equipment to withstand the rigors of the club and of the road, are the Pioneer and Denon. I use Denon exclusively, as I have for years.

The difference between Pioneer and Denon offerings is perhaps the difference between Mercedes and Rolls Royce. Pioneer, already somewhat the industry standard, has forged ahead and made amazing contributions to the world of VDJs, with their incredible new mixers and their DVJ-X1 DVD decks. Its advantage over Denon is the removable chip that stores cue points for particular CDs; since quite a few clubs have these decks already, all you need is the chip and your music, and you’re good to go.

But Denon’s R&D department has continually scored coups with their players, beginning with this, the flagship DN-S5000, with its incredibly responsive belt-driven spinning platter (world’s first) and its junior, the DN-S3000. It also has on-board effects–brake, dump (to backward mask profanity on the fly), and reverse. It also allows one to plays two tracks from the same disc AT THE SAME TIME (or mix back and forth between them); and with the hot disc feature, one can eject a disc while the song keeps playing, replace the disc for another, and fade into a track from the new disc.

Denon reproduces much of the look and all of the feel of vinyl turntables, and the ability for each model to store up to 1000 individual memo points, which can be communicated to another Denon player when linked, is another feature that embraces the Digital Age and distinguishes them from the competition. Free software are posted on the website, when available. Unquestionably, Denon also has the best 1-yr service warranty.

The Denon DNS1200 is a good midi deck for those who ae looking for a medium range priced product that performs on a professional level. The product worked great. I am a digital DJ so I can’t speak on how the CD player works, but I plugged in flash drives and was able to do a set using the deck’s effects functions, sampling, and looping with minimal manual reading. I am proud to own this product and I recommend it to all professional DJs and hobbyist.

I would recommend this seller to family and friends!

I ordered a the second player to complete the set. This time It took only about 4 days to arrive to me NY from Arizona. product was nicely packaged and protected. I open both boxes to take out the unit. I registered the unit on the Denon website, and downloaded the update now the unit Is working nicely.

I would recommend this seller to family and friends!

After 2 years now, one of the play button just totally came off. When I called denon support they would not cover it anymore. I had to call another company to get the part. It Is a great little CD player, but the buttons are made very poorly. It’ s been more than 2 weeks since I have been waiting for this part still nada. We are currently In May 2010 which is a very busy season for me. I had no choice but to take the player apart and did a ninja biz by glueing it together temporarily. I had to be creative not to look bad in front of my public.

    Not cool Denon

  5. Kiplinger Says:

I bought this unit for my son’s 18th birthday (he’s an aspiring DJ, following in his aging dad’s footsteps!) and I’m so impressed. The downside being that I’ve not seen him since! He’s locked up in the bedroom kicking out some pretty impressive sounds! I love the fact that this unit has a memory to loop track samples even with the CD taken out, and the flexibility of this player. Superb value for money… even if you’re not a DJ, this is one heck of a cool toy!

  6. Jaffee Says:

Been spinning for a minute and this really makes the party happen! Economical enough for anyone to afford, yet has most of the features the the expensive models have. Can’t say enough about the ease with which one can interchange cds on the fly. I use this in conjunction with 2 turntables and my ipod mixer for a full funtioning “work station”. What a blessing….thanx!

  7. Eldrich Says:

This little player is nothing short of outstanding. I only have 1 right now but Im working on getting another one as soon as possible. I haven’t found any cons for this player and I will surely be using it for as long as its in working condition which I assume will be around 3 years.

If you are considering starting out as a dj these players are so affordable that you should have no trouble getting them. Im only 14 and was able to purchase it off of birthday money. The quality, durability, and versatility is unmatched by any other players in the price range.
Trust me, you will have no doubts once you own this player.

  8. Ives Says:
