I know this item might not be professional quality but for its price it is the top one to buy. It is very hard to find turntables that play 78 rpm records let alone record them. This is just what i needed and it even can be taken with you and used portable. With the built in speaker and battery option it is the ideal turntable. The cartridges and also very inexpensive and they last along time. The only thing I did not like was the software that came with it. It seems to have a hard time knowing where to split the tracks so I use Audacity to record (even though it take longer to manually split the tracks)
What are my chances of getting into MIT?
I am currently a sophomore at one of the best high schools in my state. In fact, we tested the highest on the ACTs and SATs in our state. I have an excellent GPA. I’m not exactly sure what it is, but I have an A in every class. This will increase through high school when I will be able to take more AP classes. I study with Christian Howes, a renowned jazz violinist. He teaches Jazz Composition and the Berklee College of Music and frequently tours around the world. I also play guitar, banjo, mandolin, viola, and bass. I am in a rock band with a few of my friends. We play fairly frequently, and are scheduled to play “Life in the Fast Lane”, “Hotel California”, and “Be True To Your School” during halftime at next year’s homecoming football game. I am on the track team all year long (fall and spring). I plan on being a NHS member in 11th and 12th grade. I do a lot of volunteer work in two community service clubs I am in. I plan on joining my high school’s freshman advisory program. This is a program where 11th and 12th graders spend one period a day with freshman, helping them to adjust to high school. One year of Advisory Period with the freshman is 60 service hours, and I plan on doing it both 11th and 12th grade. I run a DJ/entertainment service with my friend. Basically, our business helps people have great parties by providing an excellent DJ, plus food and party supplies. I placed in the 99th percentile in Math on our standardized tests in 7th grade and 97th percentile for Reading. I love science and hope to start my own business after college dealing with weapons and civil technologies. I really want to run my own company and make it grow and become successful. I don’t want to sound selfish, but one of my primary goals in life is to amass a large fortune so I can help my extended family. Many of my extended family members are great, hardworking people, but they just don’t have very good luck. I want to make my family name known. I know that MIT is a great school and is just what I am looking for. I’m pretty sure MIT has a program where I would be able to earn degrees in both business and electrical engineering (the science I want to pursue). Any comments or suggestions on how to better prepare for this school would be greatly appreciated. I don’t know if this would help, but I have a great memory. Ever since I lost my planner in the first week of my freshman year, I have memorized what homework I have. I never write down my assignments because I don’t need to. I remember everything. P.S. I am almost half American Indian. I’m planning on registering myself as one as well. I know that schools and colleges really like diversity, and not many colleges have American Indian students. Do you think this will help in applying to MIT?P.P.S. Don’t mind any spelling or grammatical errors, I wrote this in literally 10 minutes.
