I am a bit of a purist and so when our drummer recommended that I give the TC-Helicon VoiceTone Correct a shot, I was insulted to say the least. I did try the Correct and, well, my tune has changed. I love this pedal! I was advised to turn all the knobs to the twelve o’ clock position, plug it in and leave it alone. I did this and for the duration of a two-hour set was more pleased with my sound than I have ever been. Now, I have to admit that previous to this I was running directly through the house mixer and so almost anything would have been an improvement. However, I have used rack mounted compressors and de-essers in the past which were not only a pain to set up but, without a professional sound tech, did not come close to putting out the sound produced by the Correct. In other words, I pulled it out of the box and it immediately worked as described. One disclaimer is that someone does need to be able to sing for this product to work. I would compare its functionality to that of a

Easy to use Vocal Harmonizer/Modulator, with handheld/footswitch?
Im the vocalist in an alt-metal cover band.. What we cover (Tool, Alice in Chains, APC, Dream Theater, etc.) pretty much requires backing vocals to sound the way it should. The problem being my other band mates not speaking a word in english.Rather than bring in someone else Im looking for a vocal harmonizer Processor effects processor capable of duplicating a voice over different intervals to turn my voice into a 3 part Backing-harmony.NOW THE QUESTION.. Im looking for a handheld use of operating it. Rather than pre-programming and running the show with a click-track, is there a way to do such effects in real-time? Im imagining a footswitch for changing major settings, and a handheld device for fine tuning? Think with multiple triggers for different intervals. EX: Holding a trigger to get the same vocal a fifth over the main note?Where can I find such a thing/Commission one made?PS: I dont own a keyboard, Ive heard its the easiest way to go but the kind of show we put on doesnt afford me to stay behind a stationary instrument.
