This pedal is worth every penny. It’s so much more than just a delay pedal. A must have.
What is the foil ratio for Magic the Gathering Eventide and/or Shadowmoor?
I’m looking to possibly order multiple cases of Eventide but am first crunching numbers to figure out my estimated resale value doing singles to see if it will be worth it. I Eventide 910 got all the values of rares calculated out and got my estimated value on that. Now I just need to know how frequently foils appear. I believe in the previous block it was 1:56 cards. So, need confirmation on rather it is still that way for Eventide and/or Shadowmoor (since it’s the same block I’m guessing those 2 sets should for sure be the same) or if it changed what the ratio actually is. Also….if there is no foil in the pack, you get 1 rare, 3 uncommon, and 11 common….correct? Thanks!!!

This pedal is amazing. It was so-so and a little bit disappointing until Eventide released an update for it. Make sure you update to the latest firmware. This thing does so much. It’s so customizable. It is true bypass, which is very important to me. When the effect is on, I do hear some tone degradation, but not much.
Here’s what it does poorly: loops, reverse effects
Here’s what it does well: true bypass, ducked delay, tap tempo, presets, digital/analog delay.
One thing that annoys me is that the output jack is on the upper right and input is on the upper left. Seems illogical to me.

Excellent sound, great tweakability, a multitude of delays to choose from, but unfortunately all ruined by the fact that the delays slip out of time when using long feedback. The Timefactor is advertised as synching with MIDI clock, but something is off — long delays start out on the beat and slowly but surely slip out of time, even when the bpm is registering exactly as it should be. Inexcusable, and really a shocker coming from Eventide, a name known for quality.

I got this after a couple of failed attempts with cheaper Boss and TC units. For the extra $$ it’s built like a tank, and works exactly as advertised. Awesome, inspiring delay sounds, more than I could explore in a lifetime, are readily accessible. If you just want simple delays there are much cheaper stompboxes (e.g. Digitech Digidelay, Boss in the $100 range) that do the job fine with a lot less programming. But if you use delay a lot are are particular about the details, avoid the $200-$300 range TC and Boss options and get the Eventide.

Great Echoplex Tone in a Digital Device. I’ve been searching for this for years. You can use the Tape echo mode and set one delay to 350ms and the other to 500ms and tweak the tone from there. The output is in beautiful sounding stereo, you need two amps of course. The main advantage of this device/effect is the fact you can update the software via USB, in fact I suggest that it MANDATORY to do this before plugging in for the first time. It’s not hard but it takes some effort at first. You have to go to their site and download some software then use the USB port. For the mac I could just use my printer cable for USB access. Then follow the instructions in the manual. The latest version is a beta but is wonderful. It has a buffer also which brightens the tone but the quality of sound is so good that you just have to adjust the tone on the amps, one extra thing, you should use the effect IN THE EFFECTS LOOP and set the switches to LINE. Worth the money and then some.
