What would happen if I put a more powerful processor in my existing motherboard?
I currently have a Compaq Presario SR1620NX. It has a 2.2 GHz processor. I also have a Gateway 838GM Processor Afs Advanced that has a 3.2 GHz processor but a faulty hard drive. What would happen if I were to switch the processors. Would the Compaq still function and operate properly? I am simply asking because in the past I have tried to put together computers and the components have not worked up to their potential due to compatibility issues. Would there be such issues here?
