Advise on blogs about Best Recording consoles

While the author strives to pass along as much information as possible, it is clear from the beginning that his focus is on specific tools and methods. Nothing wrong with that but, for those seeking a more general treatise on setting up and using a home studio, this book falls short.
There is a great deal of important and useful information in the book however so, if you’re of a technical mind this might be precisely the right choice for you. I found it dry and learned nothing I hadn’t already gleened from other books and personal experience.
How can I make Best Buy Exchange my XB 360?
I bought warranty at Best Buy for my 360. Last week it got the RROD (3 lights). Sometimes they come and go. So I decided to record a vid as proof when it got the Best Recording consoles RROD. According to MSFT, the problem is the cables. I have 2 months left for warranty but want a new 360. They don’t want to exchange saying the RROD has to be on the console not the cables. I thought the cables were part of the 360 (the console). Also sometimes while plugging in the charger to charge my batteries for my XB controller, the XB freezes. Is this a legitimate reason for the store to exchange my 360?
