I bought these thinking these might help a little but man was I wrong…I bought new M-Audio BX5a monitors and wanted the best possible sound of of them. Well I put one monitor up on of the pads and one without and closed my eyes and panned left and right to get a feel for the difference. The monitor with the pad actually absorbed quite a bit of resonance and provided a tighter bass response
The monitor without the pad sounded pretty bad compared to the other one, I could hear that the bass was muddy and a slightly boomy. I have these on a wooden computer desk. I would highly recommended these if you are an audiophile or simply want your speakers or monitors to sound cleaner. Individual results may vary as every setup is different but these definitely made a difference for me and I feel that I got these for a decent price!
Frequently when I see used recording equipment listed for sale, the seller indicates that the equipment Recording studio Equipment For Sale was only used in a smoke free studio. Does being in a smoking environment have a noticeable impact on recording equipment? If so, what types of equipment (mics, mixers, preamps, audio interfaces, etc.) are most impacted? What is the impact? decreased functioning? shorter lifespan?
