For lovers of acetate, this turntable is a good choice, it is easy to use, the installation is simple. The only thing that is very slow is conversion software to music files …. I recommend it and the price is reasonable

Is PYLE DJ or PRO audio equipment any good?
I am looking mainly Pro Audio Dj Equipment for speakers and amps. How good of quality is PYLE audio products, and can anyone recommend a good speaker and amp combo?

My biggest frustration with this turntable is that the software doesn’t always recognize track separation. It will record more than one track and treat it as one when it comes to labeling the titles. You’ll end up with a lot of manual re-recording and titling problems. Seems like a good unit, but not reliable in consistent performance.

This turntable made a great replacement for the 20 year old one I had been using. The turntable itself was very easy to set up; the included manual outlined the entire process. I did have an issue with the attached RCA cable being very short, only about 3 feet in length. I had to extend it using another RCA cable. The power cord is much longer though, and should reach the nearest outlet easily. The sound is very clear, even on my age-old system. I was, however unaware that the turntable has a pre-amp installed in it, so I was unable to hook it up to the Phono Input in my home theater system; I had to use one of the Aux/CD/Video imports.

I used Audacity to digitally record my albums on a Dell Inspiron running Windows 7, and the device was recognized and configured instantly. PLEASE NOTE that some of the settings may need to be altered, depending on what system you are running (the set-up guide explains this in detail). Other than a couple nuisances, this device was an excellent buy.

This record player sounds great, works great, but I was pissed about two things. First of all, while you can play the record player through your computer, it cannot actually record the songs if you have a mac. It acts like it is, but then the files don’t play and I had to research online to find out that the software is not mac compatible. Second, if you’re running it through a stereo system you have to plug it into the audio input, NOT the phono input. I could have saved a lot of time and hassle if they had just explained those two things in their instructions. Hopefully this will help other people!

Well-priced simple way to transfer old LPs to iMac/PC and then burn to CD. Worth every penny.

The Price & Performance of this sound card is just right.

    recommended for laptop dj’s

I bought this a week before I switched to Windows 7. I was using it on Windows Vista Business 64bit and it worked great along with Traktor Pro, however, it doesn’t seem to like Windows 7 at all. This could just be a Traktor problem, but all my drivers are up to date and such. When it did work, the sound quality was amazing. I reformatted last night to Windows 7 64bit and have yet to try it out, but I hope it works better than it did on 32bit. If you can it to work, then it is a great product that I would highly recommend. I have many friends that use this, and the week I did have it working it was amazing.

Not sure what the problem was with the guy who said this soundcard doesn’t work with Virtual DJ. I use it for gigs and they work perfectly. Granted I am a computer professional and you do have to set the latency to accomodate your laptop (if it’s slow, increase the latency). I have a super fast laptop penryn Core 2 processor Ocd to 2.59GHZ with 6MB of L2 cache 4Gigs of PC5300 SoDimm RAM and a 500gig HD. Yes I put this monster together go to [...]

Virtual DJ works great, so does Deckadance, you name it. I’ve had soundcards from MOTU, Indigo, Creative, all great but the simplicity and small form factor (except the Indigo DJx PCI Express – that thing is almost too small but also sounds amazing) and the fact that it has RCA outs configurable for your mains (2 virtual turntables if you want to pipe them out to an external mixer – you name it) and 1/4in outs for your headphones and 1/4in in for a mic. This thing rocks!!

This product does exactly what it says it does. It creates a second output channel to monitor cue tracks in various DJ and music production software. By allowing you to route directly to headphones, you can preview what will be played next before sliding the cross fader over. Set up is simple and can be done in minutes (very intuitive even for novice DJ’s and musicians). Directly connect to your monitors/speakers through the back, headphones go in the front, USB to the computer, run the software and you’re ready to rock!

I had no problem using this device with Ableton Live 7, Traktor Pro or Virtual DJ 3. I am running a Gateway laptop with Windows Vista. Other reviewers who have had difficulties with this unit either had out of date drivers for the hardware and/or software or were using hacked warez versions that make USB support difficult and sketchy.

I recommend getting a USB MIDI mixer to use with your software of choice to truly take advantage of this interface.

I’m an enthusiast DJ, just for fun; so I did not want to spend a lot of cash on a set of headphones for my new hobbie. I bought these at a local music store and I’ve had them for about 3 weeks. So far here is what I have encountered:
Pros: Light weight, very portable, cool looking, GREAT SOUND! Low Price!
Cons: Uncomfortable after 30/40 minutes, these are really tight, they were constructed to press hard against your ears, which is good to isolate external noise, but very uncomfortable after a while.

Overall: For the price, these are just right, since the sound is really good and they are great to take anywhere (carring pouch included); however, I know that I will eventually end up buying another (more expensive) set that is more comfortable and of higher quality.

Ok guys, ill make this short and sweet.
Im a singer song writer, been using Magix Music studio 12, then decided to buy Pro Tools.

“PROS for the Fast Track USB interface”
Low latency – Clean clear voices

    High build quality

    Small/Compact

    Portable

“CONS for the Fast Track USB interface”
Cant use condenser microphone. **I was able to set up a condenser mic to this USB fast track model. But i had to buy a phantom power supply that cost me an additional 30 BUCKS! but it works fine.**

Only records in MONO. not capable of recording in Stereo. Which is my biggest turn off. NO one uses Mono recording. Why would they even make it MONO? so dumb.

As for the actuall software Pro Tools M-Powered Essentials
    Pros
    Tons of loops and Samples
    Vitrual instruments and
    Awesome Recording Interface.

    Cons
Takes alot of space on ur computer so have alot of memory.
Does NOT, I repeat DOES NOT give you access to all functions of the Pro Tools program. They kepp wanting you to upgrade to the full version.

    OVERALL Tips

    Good for intery level stuff.
I personally just sold this and bought the MBox 2 which is by far a way better investment but a little expensive.
Have acomputer with alot of RAM and Memory.
If you want to use a condenser mic, buy a phantom power supply for like 19 -30bucks then hook it up accordingly.

Hope this helps you guys out!

Digidesign has gotten my last dollar. I highly suggest you get another, better, product. That is, unless you enjoy reinstall, after reinstall, after support email, after support email. Forget about your musical life. The computer and Digidesign have you by the b_lls, now!

Save your sanity: Don’t buy this Digidesign product!
