It records with amazing clarity for the price, but with any USB mic… you will no doubt encounter latency. I can’t record multiple tracks with vocals because this mic has about a half second delay. It’s almost impossible to match up your tracks… which makes it virtually useless unless you want to record single tracks.

Bought this item mainly to listen to music/spoken word faster than normal. The variable speed is not very variable if you want to go faster. It only will go 16% faster. For me it was a big waste of money. On any computer you can buy a program (the amazing slow downer for example) that will cost a fraction of the cost and play 300% faster, not 16%. It will go 50% slower, so if you just want to go slow it might be ok. Also it eats 4 double a batteries like they were popcorn, and the charger that was sent as recommend was the wrong voltage. It needs a 5v adapter. The quality of the sound is decent.

This item is OK, but certainly has its limits. You must purchase the “more-expensive” battery eliminator as well, unless you own a battery factory.

Compact and easy to use with outstanding features. Match with a Tascam PSP520 power supply (don’t be enticed by the lower priced adapter as it does not match the voltage requirements of this unit) and a couple of inexpensive, powered speakers and you’ve got the perfect instrument trainer. Carve out that 18 second instrumental in the middle of a CD recording, slow it down, and loop it endlessly and you’ll finally figure out that solo that’s eluded you for so long. Fun and functional.

I use this with my students to play sections of pieces at a slower tempo. Slow practice equals fast progress and this machine helps keep the students from practicing too fast.

all the people who had problems with ambient noise obviously didnt deselect the AG7 box in the settings for the mic, that GREATLY reduces sensitivity, if your looking for somethin useful and worth the money, buy this mic

This mic is a great deal and good quality for the price. I am able to make clear recordings of acoustic guitar and vocals at the same time without picking up any empty static. I have absolutely no complaints.

It is doing every thing asked of it for the price. Sure it isn’t a $500 Studio mic but it is the best sounding USB mic I have used so far. Love that it came with a Mic stand.

The microphone works just fine. Very little distortion. Very loud. Mike placement is important. Clear and precise

I tried to post a review before, but I’m thinking I didn’t specify I was over 13, so it didn’t go through. I’m 55. I bought two of these on the advice of my equipment supplier, who has never lead me wrong before. He didn’t lead me wrong this time either. I’ve used these on acoustic guitar, backing vocals, spoken word for a radio show, percussion and guitar cabinets. For the money, I’ve not found anything as versatile. I wouldn’t put them everywhere I’d put a SM57, but they are purported to take high spl’s well. I just didn’t want to break something I use so much. I bought two more as well as a USB version.

This is a wonderful microphone. I use it to record interviews in the field instead of a shotgun set up. It is more hassle to use because it requires phantom power. But it provides a clean, clear, warm voice print.
I also plan to use it to record my children’s musical performances here at home. So for home concerts and for my field work, this mic works for me.
