Is using an external mixer for drum recording appropriate?
Would plugging my drum mics into an external mixer into my 2 channel USB audio interface be an appropriate Channel Recording Mixer way to record drums? The reason I ask is because I fear the lack of flexibility I will have when it comes to editing and manipulating single drum mics once recorded because they would have all been blended together through the mixer, only allowing me to manipulate the overall drums in my audio editing software.
