I have only had it a couple of weeks, but after running through the sounds and getting hooked into my system with the right levels etc. It really sounds nice. It has some good presets, especially early Eddie VH and one I almost did not catch – King’s Axe (King’s X) finally some recognition for Ty Tabor. This setting is to be used with good. heavy distortion, sounds great with the right pickups.Seems easy to use, but turning the knob gets tiresome, I will definitely look into getting the foot controller. I have it hooked in parallel as an effects send from a Mackie mixer. It is flexible and you can use it different ways from subtle to very heavy effect. Can’t wait to record with it. For the price, compared to the Digitech and other rackmounts for hundreds more, it more than is worth a look. This does not do modeling or distortion, it is designed for multiple effects (up to 10 can be chained at once I believe) and so far it does what they say it should do, and with very good
best noise reduction device for marshall amp?
i have a boss NS-2, but it takes out heaps of color in the tone.i tried using a behringer autocom pro-xl MDX1600. it works well with keeping the tone and the color, but the gate itself isnt so good. its a two channel processor, so i use one for my guitar (guitar -> effects rack Effects Processor -> behringer -> amp) and one for the amp. (preamp out -> behringer -> preamp in)the amp i use is a jvm 210hwhen i dial in the gate for the amp, it cuts out the amp buzz for about half the gain, but if the gain is pushed past halfway on the amp, the buzz comes in really loud. if i increase the gate any further, i cant play any picked out notes, only chords come through.what is the best gate for this situation? one that can get rid of the buzz but hardly touch the color of the signal. im interested in all price rangers, and a rack mounted appliance would be ideal.i have a schecter C1-LL, which has two humbuckers.
